Electronic tagging of bovine animals is due to become mandatory in the near future. At the moment electronic tagging of cattle is optional for farmers.
Many farmers are now using EID tags in conjunction with an array of on farm systems and equipment to help make the management of animals on farm simpler.
EID tags from Nordic Star are available in either Half Duplex (HDX) or Full Duplex (FDX) format, at the moment we do not have a Ultra High Frequency (UHF) tag available.
We can print the large EID flag tags with various printing options and can also incorporate BVD testing vials or DNA testing vials into with the button or flag EID tags.
If you are new to using EID tags, we would recommend to check with the supplier of on farm EID reading equipment to check which format (HDX or FDX) you need before placing an order.
